IE 7 has been shutting down on me occasionally for a few months now?

After IE8 released, there are no official downloads of IE7. XP most likely got an update that caused IE7 (deemed by Microsoft as 'obsolete') to crash. I suggest upgrading to Firefox or Google Chrome.
