Need help with my Blackberry Bold?

After removing and replacing the battery for my Blackberry Bold to reboot, the red LED light goes on for a few seconds and the clock loading screen proceeds to show for about 7 seconds. After this, it goes black when the rebooting screen should show. For a split second, I can vaguely see the rebooting screen and after a minute or two when it would normally be done rebooting, the red LED light flashes as if I have a message. Clearly the phone is on but the LED screen is just not working right. How can i fix this? Maybe a loose screen connection?? HELP

Windows 7 Wont Boot Normally(Black Screen), Only SafeMode?

Ok so i just got my computer fixed at a nearby computer shop and i had windows 7 installed on my computer. Now when i turn the computer on i will hear the windows 7 loading sound but no screen, i then manually reboot with the power switch then it will ask to run in safemode/ with networking or boot normally.. It only works in safemode/networking. Any advice?

Unlocked Blackberry, service does not work?

I recently subscribed to a new blackberry service through AT&T on my unlocked Curve 8520, which I bought in Dubai. I've used it in other countries through wi-fi, as well as here in South Carolina on wi-fi. I subscribed to one of the new plans, which offers 100 mb of data for 15/month. Since subscribing and rebooting, the browser services have worked, but BBM and email has yet to begin working. I've tried a soft reboot and a hard reboot since. Is there anything else I can try? Windows 7 startup repair deleting my game?

I just installed rise and fall civillizations at war, which in order to install I had to copy files onto the harddrive from my disks. Right after it installed fine it said it needed to install additional libraries (which is normal for this game) along with a needed reboot (also normal) after the reboot windows startup repair pops up, takes forever, and deletes my game. How can I fix this? (And I can't get around the repair, cancelling early makes u restart and cancelling aftr a couple minutes cause it to say it cannot be cancelled)

Ok your going to have to restore, hold the home and the sleep button for 10 secs, while still holding the home button release the sleep button, keep holding the home button until you see a picture of the iPods USB cable plugging into the iTunes logo, plug in your ipod to the computer, on iTunes you should see a message popup that says something like "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode and it needs to be restored". Why doesn't my iPod touch save photos correctly to my photos app from email?

Well, my iPod touch is jailbroken, I believe a 3rd generation, but currently upgraded to 4.1..which is slow:( anyways, my iPod touch seems to be weirding out. Ok? So I went on all my emails, gmail, yahoo, etc. On mail app And tried to save photos that I sent from my phone. When I tried to save them, I checked my photos app, the photos showed up, but when I clicked on the photos I saved, they would not allow me to view the photo, when I used the little button for deleting, emailing or copying at the bottom of the iPod or top, the photos completely dissapeared or when I used a photo editing app, the photos from my email would not show up in the app..so what I did was, I clicked images near the photos I saved from my email from my phone, and I moved to the photos I saved, and the photos I saved were low resolution, cropped, looked bad. This happened to my bro too. Our iPods aren't broken, water spilled into, or cracked. My iPod has a lot of apps on it, jailbroken.. What are my options? And what are some possible solutions? I reseted all my settings, rebooted, went on safari to save photos from my email from my phone, went on safe mode? I need professional help for this... PS it was working a few days ago.

My ipod touch is frozen on the start up apple logo. help?

At one point i tried to turn it on and it just froze at the start up apple logo. I've turned it off and on several times and it continues to stay at the apple logo. I've plugged it into the computer and let it set for several hours and the computer will not detect it (this was a MacBook Pro if that makes any difference). I have heard that if you simultaneously hold down the home and the power button at the same time and wait for the ipod to turn off and then keep holding it in until the apple logo comes up again and then let it sit for 5-15 minutes then it would eventually reboot itself but i have tried this and it still does not work. Minecraft locks up my computer?

I've been playing single player minecraft on my laptop. I got a gift code from my brother for it. We also play on a multiplayer server, but my net is acting up, so I've been playing solo. I can play for about 15 minutes before it locks up. And when it locks up, it TOTALLY locks up. I can't do anything with the machine, without doing a hard reboot. I've updated my virus software, done a system restore (but not to the point before I got minecraft), defragged, run Malwarebytes, everything I can think of. I tried uninstalling Minecraft, but it doesn't seem to be installed, just the icon on my desktop. Can anyone tell me what's going on, or at least how to remove Minecraft from my system so I can re download?

Help me stop Rooted Android Boot Loop?

I have the Motorola Droid. It is rooted. It is currently in an endless pattern of freezing, shutting down, and rebooting. The "holding down 'x' " technique does not work. I don't know what to do after holding down the upper part of the D-Pad. I still don't really understand what flashing a ROM means. I don't understand how to follow others' instructions when it must be performed on a phone that is not constantly rebooting itself! Please help...with step by step instructions for the newbie!

1.0TB Hard Drive Drive Letter?

I have a 1.0TB Hard drive as a secondary drive to store videos from my surveillance system. It is stored under drive letter S:\. I go to "Create and format hard drive partitions" under "control panel". Then i go to "Change Drive Letter and Paths". Then "Add". Then change it to drive letter S:\. Everything will go fine until I turn off my computer then when i reboot, the 1.0TB hard drive will not have a drive letter and I have to repeat the process over and over. Both drives are healthy. Both also say active, primary partitions. My C:\ drive also says system, boot, etc. My motherboard and OS (windows 7 32-bit) support the 1.0 TB hard drive. I need to get the hard drive to keep its Drive Letter, even after reboot. I can see the hard drive on "My Computer" and then when it reboots its gone again. I have tried assigning it to different drive letters so that is not the problem. Under the BIOS i was able to set up the drive with no problem and the drive shows up every time whenever i try assigning it to a letter. Any suggestions will help

When we'd established that they'd gone he then took me to his car and told me he'd take me home. Being completely drunk I saw no problem with this, also after discovering that my phone had run out of battery and I had lost my bank card and had no cash on me I had no other way of getting home from town. When inside his car he offered me beer and cigarettes, which I accepted. He asked me if I wanted to do anything after, suggesting I go back to his house, but I politely declined explaining that as it was after 5am and I was feeling very ill and drunk, I really just needed to go home to bed. He then preceded to touch my leg and again ask if i wanted to go back. On the journey he made a detour to his house telling me that he was going to get a 'spliff', leaving me inside his car. When I saw that he had entered his house and shut the door behind him I made a run for it, having no idea where I was or how to get home. When I got to a main road I looked for trustworthy people to help get me home, in the meantime the bouncer had got back into his car and had found me, he called my name beckoning for me to get back into his car but i just ran. I subsequently found a woman to walk me to the nearest bus stop. I don't know what would have come of me staying in his car and wouldn't want to make any false assumptions or allegations, but at the same time i'm not entirely sure if what happened was appropriate or legitimate, being in the vulnerable position that i was. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jailbreaking problems with my 2 gen?

I have an iPod touch 2 gen. It is running on 4.2.1 and I intended on jailbreaking it. I downloaded gp rc6 and followed all the steps and making sure I did nothing wrong. At the point of jailbreaking, my iPod white screened, but never started filling my screen with code. It stays white screened and then it says jailbreak failed so I unplug and hard reboot. I have also tried this with gp rc5_b2 and same problem occurs. Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

Combat Arms keeps crashing when I play?

My Acer is stuck in Safe Mode after a system restore?

The other night, I got this pop-up asking if a certain program (don't remember which) could make a change to my computer. I always click 'No' when these things pop up, but this one just kept popping up, so I went ahead and clicked 'Yes.' Then my computer automatically restarted and instead of letting me log in to my desktop, this scan searching for errors popped up instead. It would tell me there was a problem while scanning however, and that I would just have to restart or shut down my computer. If I restarted it, it would just do the same thing every time. So then I went into the other options on the screen and went ahead and did a system restore (I do believe it's called) where you pretty much delete everything off your computer and it's the way it is when you first bought it. That seemed to be doing pretty well until it got to the 18th out of 19 steps...the System Cleanup. It would restart my computer and suggest I go into Safe Mode and delete any reccently installed programs. I haven't installed any reccently, and even if I have, I don't remember what it was or what I should delete! If I choose to reboot in Normal Mode, it lets me log in, but goes right back to the 18th step and just restarts itself again. Is there a way to fix this on my own? Hope this makes sense. PLEASE HELP!

Missing bootinfo.inf for windows xp?

My sound isn't working on my XP computer! Please help!?

So basically, I reformatted an old office computer we had, which is running XP Professional. I went to plug in a set of speakers, and nothing happened, no sound. There is not even a volume icon in the system tray because it is not reading a sound device. I checked the device manager, everything seems to be ok (drivers are ok, no alerts/exclamation points). So the device manager says everything is working properly. I even went into the BIOS and disabled, booted, rebooted, enabled the onboard audio, still nothing. The sound jack is part of the motherboard. When I go to control panel and then sound, it reads it as if there is no sound device. I know the speakers work because I used them in another computer, and I know the driver works because I used the same driver that it was already running prior to reformatting. I would also say it's a bad sound port, but this computer has jacks on the back and front, and neither work. Can anyone help? Thank you!!

Why won't computer recognize drives other than c:?

I have an mp3 player and a flash drive on 2 usb ports. Even if the drives are listed in windows explorer, when I click on them nothing happens. Drives don't open. Folders don't come up. When I try to save file, get error message that drive is invalid. I have to reboot (sometimes several times) to get access to them. Any ideas why?

I recently installed the latest video driver for my nvidia 7600 gt and after the reboot, thick white lines appeared on the screen and after about 30 sec the monitor shut down. The screen refresh was changed to 85Hz, but when i tried to enter vga mode to change the refresh rate back to 60Hz, the screen had the same problem. I uninstalled the driver in safe mode and the problem was gone, but i cant play any games and scrolling is choppy and tiresome for the eyes.

BLACKBERRY BOLD black screen, still on?!?

After taking the battery out of my Blackberry Bold, the red LED light goes on for a few seconds and the screen shows the loading clock for about 10 seconds then turns black. My ex-boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago. I posted the long story in another question, if you need details. It was a hard and sad break up, as we both did not want it, especially me. He is just not ready for a relationship right now and does not know what he wants. He was very adamant on remaining friends, and preceded to talk to me nearly every day since we broke up. I care for him so deeply and always want to be there for him, but I know that being friends is not healthy right now, as I still have not been able to get over him, and it just gives me false hope that we will get back together in the future. He said he would like to and there is a def chance that we could, but I do not want to even think that is a possibility, as to not get my hopes up. Last week, I had to make the heartbreaking decision that we should stop talking for a while. He was upset and said that he wanted to keep talking to me without question and could not imagine not talking to me. I explained why I need some time, and he agreed that we should stop talking for a week or two and see where it goes from there. It will be a week tomorrow, and I haven't contacted him at all and have not heard from him either. I am getting so nervous and worried, and think that he already forgot about me and could care less. Why would he not try to get in touch with me? Is he just respecting what I asked and will eventually talk to me? I don't want us to lose each other forever. Windows 7 Reboots at "Starting Windows" Screen?

I just got a computer from my friend so I decided to move my harddrive and video card from the old computer to the new, not much of a problem. However when i booted the computer the computer would get to the "Starting Windows" screen and then it would just restart, as if I turned the computer off and turned it back on. I ended up formatting my harddrive and reinstalled Windows 7 and then I put my files back on with an external harddrive but I was just wondering if there was anyway other than that in order to solve that problem. [By the way, I have already tried to do the system repair using the Windows 7 disk but when I tried it the program said that it either "could not automatically repair startup" or that it "couldn't detect a problem". I cant run a scan on normal mode?

I have recently been having problems with my laptop. The only thing that barely works on normal mode is my games. Everything else including internet and anti virus freezes up and doesnt respond. You can actually wait on the internet and some other apps but it takes like 5 minutes for it to respond. When the anti virus freezes up in never responds. I have already ran a few full scans on safe mode and I am pretty cleaned up. But dont i need to scan it on normal mode now that i still have issues? The only other problems i can think of are getting notified sometimes on reboot that by batteries storage cap is very low. Also on reboot i ran system diagnostics and each one mentioned "replace hard disk 1" as my hard disk check obviously failed. Do either one of these effect my normal mode performance? Everything runs perfectly fine in safe mode. So what do i do and where can i start from here?

Some people believe in time outs(whether that be 5mins. in a corner or pulling them out of the zoo and taking them home). Some people believe in loosing privileges(taking away tv, toys, etc...). Some people believe in a spanking(when I say spanking I do NOT mean beating your child. I mean a swat on the bottom when you are not angry). Some people believe in a combination of all of the above. Whatever works for you and your children - you have to be consistent. If they act up at the zoo, and you decide to take the tv away for 4 days stick to that, do not give it back after 2. If they get punished for the zoo incident and you go to the grocery store, and they act up. Whatever you did for punishment at the zoo, do it for the next incident. Right now, from your short ? I am assuming your kids listen to your wife more than you. They see your wife as the authority figure, and you as lets have fun and play. I don't think she should of yelled at you. Although my husband & I have a certain amount of equality in our marriage - even when we disagree, we do it behind closed doors out of the kids ears. We don't yell, we talk it out. The kids will pick up on that and think they can do whatever. You have to come together as a team, make the kids understand that both parents are in charge and whatever you choose for punishment, be consistent. On the flip side, it does help if lets say you took them to the zoo, grocery store or wherever they get rewarded for good behavior. This way they don't only see the negative, they see the positive side too. Both will sink in.

Why hasn't my anxiety gone away?

About two months ago I smoked marijuana for the third time ever. I enjoyed it the first two times blah blah blah, but not so much the third time. I was sort of tripping and the high started to feel like a dream. I got scared and had a really bad panic attack that night. I took me a week after that to get over how scared I felt that night. But I reached a point where I was completely over it. I thought it was irrational to worry about something that wasn't a "real" feeling anyway, so I moved on. Then a week after that I woke up feeling derealization again or maybe it was in my head, but it doesn't matter because it scared the s**t out of me. When the feeling went away a couple hours later It scared me that I felt that way while I wasn't high. It took me another week and three days to get over it. Then one night I was reading about derealization and out of the blue I had a panic attack. For a while I had a constant fear of having panic attacks. I saw a therapist at my school, told most of my family and read more than you can imagine on the internet. Now I'm at a place where I can control my fear. But the physical anxiety symptoms that usually precede a panic attack won't go away. It bothers me because they occur even when I'm not scared. I think I have developed a moderate anxiety disorder but nothing critical yet. Should I see a doctor? I really don't want to take prescription drugs to make these feelings go away. I regret smoking marijuana that night more than anything, If i knew I'd be a nervous wreck all the time I would have never f***ing done it. It wasn't even fun while the high was "good". I despise the fact that I blindly made a decision that could potentially effect me for the rest of my life... When I feel anxious it's like nothing else matters. Asume your drivers are correct etc, and the router is connected : internet>modem>router>PC's either ethernet or wireless or a comination. you have configured the Wi-Fi menu in the router to a name and encrypt and password protect it, to avoid unwanted users. Then you need to open your network center, search for you named signal >connect>enter the password> set it to connect automatically, voila? To access you router you need the IP address, can be 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 or check with you ISP? laptop can connect 3 ways to the internet, ethernet, wireless from a home internet or a USB dongle,on a packet or pre paid. D-Link router that I have came with a wizard connect CD and a manual. I assume thatis the wireless driver for the Acer laptop downloaded from Acer website? So is the problem at the browser, which may be a firewall issue? You can always do a factory resetwith a paperclip in hole next to power plug and reconfigure, this resets all passwords as well. once configured just give it a powr refresh, unplug from power for 30 seconds then plug bac in and let it cycle up. As Computers need a restart to complete update so does hardware, for changes to take effect, and I power refresh my router and modem once a week,as they can get into a bind? Having problems with my blackberry Curve. Any suggestions?

While I was trying to listen to music, my blackberry froze. This has happened in the past, so I decided to as usual take the battery out to restart it. My blackberry started to reboot like normal, however once the white loading bar is full it nothing happens. Usually after this point it would start loading again and take me to my home screen. I've tried taking the battery out 4 times since then to restart it, but nothing has happened. I don't know when I would be able to go to a U.S. Cellular store to have it looked at. Until then, do any of you have suggestions as to what I might do to get my blackberry working again?

OS won't boot (deleting directx the cause)?

I have a three year old Dell Inspiron 1525 running Vista. I was having trouble with directx trying to play a game and accidentally deleted (now knowing that was extremely stupid). It takes 7-10 mins to load after that you just see the mouse then it just reboots. I do not have any system restores and want to recover my files before trying to wipe and reinstall the whole OS. I already tried to repair the system using the OS disc but it didn't seem to work. Anybody have any suggestions or advice to fix the problem or have a way to recover my files before I contact tech support?

Car makes popping sound when making hard turn or hard dip and extreme grinding sound when braking?

OK, this is all the front passenger side tire. My brake light has been on forever, but I haven't heard a squeal from the brakes that precedes changing usually. When I turn quick left or pull out of my driveway (large decline then flat) turning left it makes a loud pop once. When I'm driving really slow and put the brakes on or sometimes just when I've let go of the brakes and am driving but been at a light for a while I get an extremely loud grinding sound but only from that one side where the popping comes from. I have a sony vaio VPCF136FM. Lately, it has begun changing the basic functions of my keyboard. I have a numeric pad on the right side so number lock issue doesn't apply here. I'll give some examples: my 'L' key will lock my computer, my 'M' key will minimize the foremost window and the arrow keys munipulate the window accordingly e.g.: left will shift the window to the left, down will minimize the window, up will maximize the window, etc. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I tried calling the stupid vaio care people, but all the guy did was have me uninstall and reinstall the drivers after a half hour of BSing. Shortly after that the issue popped up again requiring another reboot. I've also done a ridiculous number of computer scans for viruses, registry issues, and any other possible problems that could pop up. I've even defragged and nothing. I haven't gone as far as actually changing anything because I don't really don't what I'm doing in that regard, but I could really use a hand. Any solutions?

My Kindle 2 screen is really messed up, how do I fix it?

I had a Kindle for about 6 months and then randomly the upper right screen become like frozen with the screen saver image on it when I would wake it up and there was a bunch of distortion and weird lines. So I figured I'd dropped it or accidentally hit it or something. Called Amazon, got a new one, no big deal. Now I've had this one (still a Kindle 2) for only a few weeks and it's doing the EXACT same thing. I've taken great care of it, so what is going on!? I need help with Real Player and Real Trimmer?

I use Real Player (the free download) to create videos. Normally Real Trimmer lets you cut and save small sections, but now it won't. When I try to save a section it asks you to name it, you press okay and then it shuts down Real Player completely. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted, used different source videos and made different cuts - but nothing changes. Happens on my laptop and on a PC. All of the video is my own, no copyrighted material or blocked content. Any ideas?

Hello, recently i have been getting worried of my explorer.exe taking up more memory over time, but is this because it is storing thumbnail catche in case i re-open the folder later? also is there like a preset amount of time before explorer.exe deletes this catche if i don't open the folder in a while, before i rebooted yesterday, my explorer.exe was using about 65,000K of RAM when nothing was running, my computer was not slow but i was worried because it used more memory than everyone i know, when i asked people about their explorer.exe memory usage their was like between 15-20 thousand. right now i am sitting on 41,000 eplorer.exe memory usage, i have a toshiba satellite L505D with 3GB of RAM.

I just built my own desktop computer and finally got it running. I installed windows 7 on it yesterday and transferred all of my files to it. It worked perfectly and then I put it into sleep mode. It would not respond so I restarted it. Now my computer will not boot windows 7 and says "reboot and select a proper boot device error." I have changed all of the bios boot order but i'm not sure if it is letting me save my settings. Either way I can't seem to fix this error. What can I do?

I fiddled with partitions and now i cant run my netbook.?

okay so im trying to install windows xp from a usb because i have a netbook. i also wanted to allocate some more space for the C: drive because it was using 40gb of space and my D: had 100gb. so i deleted both of the partitions i saw. now when i create both partitions i try to go to the install thing in the menu and it says do you want to format? i put yes then after the windows xp professional set up screen it basically says i dont have enough space. and then it says setup was unable to locate such a drive with the required amount of free space. and when i hit enter it reboots my pc. what am i doing wrong? how do i create the partitions to where i can have more in my C drive or atleast getting my computer back to running again? am i suppose to make a extended? i just want my c drive and d drives back. i also tried making the drive active. please help i just want my netbook to run again.
